Safe Journey In The News

Since our launch on 27 May 2016, Safe Journey has received a variety of coverage in general and industry media.

The ability to cancel trips if an act of terrorism takes place within 40 miles of your accommodation, up to 42 days before your scheduled departure has, as expected, been the focus of many of these reports – and with good reason! This is the first time any UK travel insurance policy has covered disinclination of any kind!

Cover for curtailment, delays, and other items relevant to those directly or indirectly affected by terrorism has also received a lot of attention, with a number of journalists highlighting the fact that many travel insurance policies don’t cover these items for terrorism, or exclude terrorism entirely.

You can now protect your holiday from terrorists – this is how

The Sunday Times – Travel Briefing

“TERROR INSURANCE A new insurance policy allows holidaymakers to cancel a trip and get a full refund should a terrorist attack take place. The add-on policy from safe-journey.com starts at £4.75 for a fortnight and will cover repatriation arrangements in the event of an incident while holidaymakers are overseas. Traditionally, travel policies have specifically excluded cover related to acts of terrorism.”

(Please note, policies actually start at £4.96 per person for a single trip of up to 8 days.)
